Wooohooo! Please join me in sending lots of appreciation and sparkles to Mr. Vandrasik, our school counselor, as March teacher of the month. Mr. Vandrasik wears many hats, and we are very thankful to have him at Westmeade. Mr. V is our attendance extraordinaire, and this is not a small task. The district has asked we keep multiple data points above 90% and that means Mr. V has to always stay on top of this. He diligently checks in on student attendance each week, makes phone calls home, and always checks in to see what families might need.
This is always a busy time of year for S-Teams, ARBs, and other similar meetings. Mr. V makes time to squeeze all of these in and goes above and beyond to make sure all teacher and student needs are met. Mr. V eagerly participated in a book talk, morning announcements, parent technology night, and technology home support visits. He makes all these things happen and appears cool, calm, and positive. Way to juggle all those hats!Finally, our students love Mr. V and feel safe coming to talk to him. His door is always open, and students know they can count on Mr. V for help or just a friendly listening ear. This is exactly what we want for our students. Mr. V, thanks for all you do. Your hard work and dedication are noticed...all tasks big and small. Thank you!
