Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports
Westmeade Elementary has implemented the PBIS model to ensure a positive response to student behavior and discipline. PBIS stands for Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports. The most notable element of this program is the use of our Dragon Dollar Program to promote positive student behavior choices. Students can earn Dragon Dollars by being Respectful, Responsible and Safe with their choices and decision-making. These three character traits are the three guiding elements of the PBIS program and are otherwise known as our Westmeade Way.
